Each year the he CTSRC presents the John and Louise Julius Award for Outstanding Practitioner. The CTSRC Officers and Board of Directors felt that this year was very different than any years we collective have experienced and that in addition to our outstanding practitioner award, a special recognition was in order.
The board recognizes that all of the Respiratory Therapists in CT are unsung heroes who went above and beyond their call of duty to care for their patients. We wish we could give an award to everyone on the front line. Since that is not possible, we would like to recognize a therapist who really shined during this very difficult time.
If you know of a co-worker who fits this description and meets the criteria below, please nominate them for this award.
The recipient of this award should be a practicing Respiratory Therapist and be an active member of the AARC and CTSRC who possesses the following qualities:
Provided outstanding patient care during the COVID-19 crisis
Maintained professionalism and a positive outlook throughout the crisis
Supported their co-workers and patient care teams during the crisis
