The CTSRC is seeking a 2020 student representative to the Board of Directors.

The term is from Jan 1, 2020-Dec 31, 2021.

Student participation in the professional state society and the American Association for Respiratory Care is an important priority for the CTSRC.  In keeping with this commitment, the CTSRC board of directors has a position for a student member.  The student member must apply to the society’s executive committee who will select the student board member.  The selected student will serve a term of 1 year beginning in January 2020 and has the privilege of voice but no vote. The student board member must serve on at least one committee of their choice (excluding education and scholarship) and is expected to attend board meetings according to the society’s bylaws, which is to attend 75% of all meetings called.

Requirements:

  • You must be currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy Program in CT.
  • You must be an AARC student member.
  • You must attend the monthly board meetings. The meeting is the third Wednesday of every month at a predetermined location at 4:30 pm.
  • You should send a monthly e-mail to the student rep from the other schools which shares the information you gleaned from the meeting.
  • You must volunteer on at least one committee of your choice.
  • You must help at the Super Symposium.
If you are interested, you must submit a completed application by  Nov 30, 2019.  Applications that are not complete will not be considered. The process is competitive and the chosen individual will be notified before Jan 1, 2020. The application may be accessed by clicking on the link below
